The 'Masters' Rockets!

So I just got my order of cap plugs a few weeks ago (as most of you know). They have proven themselves very useful :)...

If you don't know what these are used for you should definitely check out this video.

And part 2 is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjsmfKQxo90

This guy, the 'master' as he is known is just amazing with the quality of rockets and headers he make's, they are just unbelievable. As soon as I saw these and then saw the talk on passfire I just had to try them. It was great when passfire did a group buy of these yellow caps and I grabbed 2000 of them, so that should last me a fair while I'm sure.

I have a stack of photos that I would love to show as a tutorial, but I think I will upload that else where once I get the time to put it together.

Here are a few photos of my creations with these caps. This is a small 2" shell.

Now my shells are 'alright' but they are nothing like the masters.. Yet! haha. Maybe one day. Mine burst out in a ring and they all 'pop' at the same time or nearly anyway. Here is one of my shells. This was a 3" can shell, the inserts were filled with a mix of some strong black powder (charcoal was grape vine) and red flash powder.

For some more bloody amazing rockets and a quick idea of how he makes them, make sure you check out these videos. You guys will love them! These are just truly jaw dropping.

Hope you enjoyed this one. Make sure to follow my blog so that you can keep up with my latest posts!

TrueBluePyro's Blog!!!

G'day everyone!

Welcome to my new blog, I hope to use this a lot and keep everyone up to date.

So a small story about my self... I am a fellow Australian (No Duh..) and I love pyrotechnics. You can't legally buy fireworks here so I make my own. I think my pyro craze really started when I was grade one (around 6 years old) when some mates of mine at school made some fountains with broken up sparklers for the end of year school break up (yes the school allowed it, I live in the middle of no where lol.) After that I found out about the internet and found 'smoke bomb' videos and that they can be simply made with sugar and potassium nitrate. I got my hands on some kno3 and used the lot making smoke bombs which I thought was pretty cool. After that I found out you could make black powder just with kno3, sulfur, and charcoal.

I went off and made my own charcoal and bought some sulfur from the hardware and also got a mortar and pestle and some scales. Ground it all up and got my first black powder :). granulated it and made some crappy 'triangle' firecrackers otherwise known as polumna firecrackers or Mexican style firecrackers. and my addiction progressed from there.

OK, that's my life story... I'm away from pyro at the moment and am getting some serious pyro withdrawals lol. Once I get back, I will have some great stuff for you guys!

Cheers and stay green everyone,
